New Year’s Eve and it’s almost 60 degrees outside?! I found this red blazer at a church rummage sale and I picked up the striped sweater at the local thrift store. Ready to roll out to lunch. Happy New Year!

Earlier this week I travelled to Midland Arts and Antiques Market to browse for vintage gems and gain some inspiration. This place never fails to showcase beautiful antique home decor as well as quirky knick knacks. The market is situated in an old lumber yard that later became home to Midland Sashing & Door Company. I spent close to 3 hours perusing over 50,000 square feet of history. My favorite find was an old sock shelf with hand painted signage, “jerk them on- they stay up!” If you’re ever in the mood to time travel, this is the place to visit!

In typical fashion my first stop for post holiday shopping was the Goodwill near my family’s home. I was on a pre-planned fashion challenge (which will be detailed in an upcoming post), BUT vintage treasures outside my assignment still managed to find their way into my hands. I walked out with a perfectly chic outfit composed of one perfectly tailored LBD and a beautiful tan cashmere coat complete with a fur collar. Paired with black tights and ankle boots, this outfit doesn’t even have to try to be cool. Now, time for dry cleaning and a hip happy hour. Deuces fashionistas.
