So I’ve been a bad, bad blogger and done the worst thing possible….suddenly, taken an unannounced sabbatical. I apologize!  It’s okay. I’m back and I’ve got VERY exciting news. You are reading the first ever Throwback Thursday post!! Did your life just change? No, but here’s today’s vintage image. Ann Margret rocking out to some swinging 60′s music. There are 3 things I love about this photo:

1) her cropped pants- just bought a pair of similar styled pants (bright orange, of course) at J. CREW ,

2) her midriff- something I’d like to experiment with this summer (never thought, I’d say that…),

And

3) how much fun she looks to be having.

She’s the happiest woman I’ve ever seen with a double chin. Go Ann Margret.

During my thrift adventures I have gathered a small collection of vintage Coach bags. They were picked up in incredible condition and due to their classic style and color quickly became my favorite “everyday” bags. Much to my excitement my favorite vintage bags have been reissued as part of a Coach Classics Collection. In this collection, Coach has reissued five iconic styles from the 1970′s. Now I won’t be buying new replacements for my favorites, BUT there are certain styles in this collection that I have yet to come upon by chance. Not to mention it’s nice to have a choice in color!

I’m looking to add some everyday kind of accessories into my treasure chest. This bracelet might be just the ticket. It has a gunmetal chain with vintage brass cubes strung along. I think it would fit in pretty well… auction ends in 17 days on Market Publique. And I’m hooked–they’re offering a discount when you buy all three layering bracelets!

It is downright ahh-mazing some of the jewelry you can find out there. Do you have any pieces of your wardrobe that are sure to illicit compliments when worn? I do, and they are all necklaces that have either been passed down from my grandmother or found thrifting. Pictured is one of my favorites. It is the greatest, because it mixes silver and gold ensuring it matches any outfit. It instantly completes my look! Proves that accessories do make an outfit.

Oh, my! I just love these cat glasses. I’m on the hunt for a new pair of retro frames that make a statement too. Warby Parker offers affordable, vintage-inspired frames. Best of all you can order 5 styles for an at home try on for free. I just put an order in and can’t wait until they get here. I’ll let you know how I like them!
